Only 2 more weeks until #GivingTuesday and we’re getting excited! We know organizations tend to feel a lot of pressure about getting ready for the ultimate giving holiday, so we wanted to make you aware of one important change coming in 2018.
Facebook Matching with PayPal
Facebook has announced that they are partnering with PayPal to match up to $7 million in donations this Giving Tuesday! This match will apply to fundraisers for 501(c)(3) organizations, which include birthday fundraisers and donate buttons.
Any donation up to $250,000 per nonprofit and $20,000 per donor can be matched for any nonprofit that is able to accept donations through Facebook. If you aren’t already set up as a nonprofit organization through Facebook, make sure to take care of that soon! Find more information here.
