Let me know if this sounds familiar:
You believe wholeheartedly in your nonprofit’s mission. And you’re genuinely thrilled to be a part of the team to drive impact for your cause.
But when it comes to marketing effectively, a little sweat runs down your spine. Because you’re not 100% confident in yourself when it comes to your nonprofit social media strategy.
Whether you’re not sure if your current efforts are working, or you’re looking for a way to find new donors, but you don’t believe in your ability to do so, you’re feeling a little stuck.
You’re not alone. So many nonprofit marketers feel this exact same way.
And that’s why I’ve created this quick guide on how to rebuild your confidence with your social media strategy:
If your mindset is getting in your way when it comes to your marketing, don’t worry.
I’ve got three tips to help you build back your confidence so you feel empowered to continue with your marketing strategy and even try new techniques to elevate your nonprofit!
As a marketer, you’re likely on social media quite a bit. And you’re probably looking at a few different nonprofits out there, other than your organization.
When they post something creative that drives the message of their organization home, you might start second-guessing your ability.
That’s where the buck needs to stop. That could be the one factor that’s holding you back.
Until you stop comparing yourself to others in the nonprofit sector, you’ll often doubt yourself. And when you do, you’ll find that you’re less likely to make new moves in your nonprofit social media strategy.
Learn to let go of what others are doing. Focus on your organization’s mission and how you can help it grow instead.
Speaking of your competition and your organization’s mission, sometimes when we look too closely at others, we mimic what they’re doing.
Don’t worry – that’s natural! Because we see what they’re doing is “successful.” If it’s successful for them, then it must make you successful, too, right?
Not necessarily. Their mission, their values, and their Ideal Donor Avatars are different from yours. So what works for them, may not work for you.
I invite you to take another look at your nonprofit social media marketing strategy. Does your content align with the people you’re looking to reach? If not, take the time to develop it so it does!
That’s where the success lies.
Sometimes what we need is a new tool to re-inspire us and build back our confidence.
Because there’s nothing like taking the time to learn a new skill and seeing how you’re single-handedly helping your mission.
And if it’s not a part of your nonprofit social media strategy yet, then I highly recommend learning how to use Facebook ads effectively!
When you learn how to use Facebook ads for nonprofits effectively, you’ll reap so many benefits for your organization.
Benefits like generating recurring donations and saving time and money for your nonprofit efforts.
But if you’re worried over whether or not you can actually get the hang of using them, don’t worry.
You can get my step-by-step training on how to use Facebook ads for nonprofits. And better yet? They’re strategies you can start using today!
And once you have Facebook ads nailed down in your nonprofit social media strategy, you’ll feel so much more confident. Because you’ll know you’re actually doing a major service to your nonprofit organization which you feel so strongly about!
